Position: Epidemiologist (Full Time, Non Exempt, Classified)
Routine Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 (40 Hours/week)
Location: Geauga Public Health Office, Building #8, 470 Center St., Chardon, OH 44024
As a member of the Population Health Team, the Epidemiologist reports to the Director of Population Health. The epidemiologist will team with healthcare providers, laboratories, hospitals, and other partners to obtain the information needed to monitor, control, and prevent the occurrence and spread of reportable infectious diseases and notify appropriate partners at the state and national level about the occurrence of reportable conditions. The epidemiologist will utilize scientific and public health principles to conduct disease surveillance, education, and activities for Geauga County. The epidemiologist will support the implementation of the emergency operations plan as needed and will likely be heavily involved in emergency response planning and actions.
- Completion of a Masters of Public Health (MPH) from a CEPH Accredited school or program in public health
- Highly competitive candidate will have Ohio RN licensure and clinical experience.
- CPH (Certified in Public Health) preferred
- Must have a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and remain insurable in accordance with the agency’s insurance policy.
Compensation: The established hourly rate range for this position is $24.0385 - $28.3653.
