The Geauga County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a county-based volunteer program

The Geauga County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) was created in September 2008 to aid Geauga County before, during, and after an emergency. The Geauga County MRC is comprised of licensed health and medical professionals, including nurses, nurse practitioners, veterinarians, pharmacists, doctors, chiropractors, physician assistants, dentists, and also non-medical volunteers who will assist and support Geauga County during emergencies. The Geauga County MRC is coordinated through the Geauga Public Health.

To join the Geauga County MRC you must you must be 18years of age or older and register on the Ohio Responds Volunteer Registry https://www.ohioresponds.odh.ohio.gov/

The Ohio Responds Volunteer Registry is Ohio’s online system for managing public health and medical disaster response volunteers. It is shared by the Ohio Emergency Management Agency and Ohio Department of Health and used to register, notify and inform volunteers. Anyone interested in being a Geauga County MRC volunteer must register on the site.
